Last week, we’ve learned the Tagalog/Filipino words for yes, no, maybe. Today, we shall learn the two words that refer to being sure or unsure.


These two Tagalog/Filipino words have a close spelling, however their meanings are total opposites. Siguro is used to mean that you are unsure or uncertain. It means “maybe”. Sigurado means that one is sure and certain about something.


Say It Correctly:

Sigurado – “see-gu-rah-do” with intonation on the third syllable

Siguro – “see-gu-roh” with intonation on the second syllable
