About the Speaker

Mr. Jaime J. Bautista is considered a veteran with his more than three decades of service in Asia’s longest-running airline — Philippine Airlines. Mr. Bautista is the President, Chief Operating Officer of Philippine Airlines from 2004 to 2012 and re-assumed the residency in 2014 to present time after Lucio Tan Group took over the management of Philippine Airlines. Earlier on his career with PAL, from 1999 to 2003, he was the Executive Vice President; 1994 to 1999 as Senior Vice President – Finance and CFO; and 1993 to 1994 as Vice President-Comptroller. He was also the President of PAL Holdings, Corp. from 2004 to 2012.


Outside of PAL, he held various positions in the LT Group of Companies and as Board of Director of Eton Properties, Philippines Inc. from 2004 to 2008.


He was also the President of PNB Forex, Inc. and President & CEO of Air Philippines, Inc. from 2003 to 2004. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Asian Alcohol Corporation from 1992 to 1993.


In the 1980s until the early 1990s, he held managerial positions in the Lucio Tan Group of Companies. He was also an auditor of Sycip, Gorres, Velayo & Co. in the late 1970s.


At present, Mr. Bautista is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University of the East; Member, Board of Trustees – UERM Memorial Medical Center; Treasurer and Board Director at Macroasia Corporation; Chairman at Macroasia Airport Services Corporation; Treasurer at Macroasia Catering Services Corporation; Board Director – Macroasia Properties Development Corp., and Treasurer at Tan Yan Kee Foundation.
