Coron, Palawan has established itself as a top tourist destination in the Philippines. Its magnificent marine life, cascading cliffs and famous dive sites have made it a haven for divers all over the world. The secluded beaches are perfect for beach bums who want to lounge around the powder white sand or go swimming and snorkelling in the clear blue waters.

Located at the northern part of Palawan, Coron in the largest town in the island of Busuanga. Fishing and tourism are the main means of living. People are very warm and friendly to tourists and would be happy to take you around. Tricycles, motorcycles for rent and shuttles (provided by the hotels/resorts) are the main modes of transportation. If you’re looking for something to eat then head to Coron Market, Market Pier and numerous bake shops around town. You can either travel by plane into Busuanga from Manila and Cebu through domestic airlines or travel by ferry to get to Coron.

There are a lot of attractions that you can visit in Coron once you go island hopping. Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Banol Beach, and numerous snorkelling areas where you can view underwater rock formations. Barracuda Lake has amazing underwater rock formations. Kayangan lake has the most photographed view in Palawan and considered as the cleanest lake in the country. Both places are stunning and good for snorkelling. A cross on Mt. Tapyas above the town is worth climbing to see the majestic view of the small islands below. Also, take a dip in Maquinit Hot Spring to relax your muscles after a long day full of activities.

Coron is also famous for its renowned World War II shipwrecks and it is also listed as one of the top scuba diving sites in the world by many travel magazines. Most of the hotels provide packages that you can avail for an organized and convenient trip.
