There were some new and interesting features in this motor show. Volkswagen had a large air-conditioned tent for the “Road Safety For Kids” activity for children and parents. Here, the young participants (from age 4-8 years old) were trained in road safety and given a driver’s license at the end of the activity. This motivated the kids to pay attention and cooperate during the lecture and actual driving exam.

Shell promoted their Shell V-Power Nitro+ in a creative way through a virtual reality gear. Participants can wear a 360-degree goggles with virtual reality screen that showed a 3-D presentation of what goes on inside a car’s engine with Shell V-Power Nitro+. It was a fun and interesting science activity.

What sets European cars apart from the other carmakers?
  • Design
  • Technology
  • Tradition
  • Brand Equity

Just to name a few, brands like Volvo from Sweden, first introduced the SIPS or the Side-Impact Protection System and is a pioneer in eco-friendly engines. BMW is an award-winning luxury brand from Germany. Their car models have some of the finest engines and excellent ergonomic features for driving comfort and safety. Motorcycles by Ducati from Italy are frequent champions in MotoGP racing. Mercedes-Benz is a German brand known for elegance and class. They also have the latest technology in safety and accident prevention like the Distronic Plus with Pre-Safe Brake where a system helps reduce the intensity of a collision in case of a car crash. Peugeot from France is also an award-winning brand. The Peugeot 308 won the European Car of the Year in 2014. And of course, there’s Volkswagen with the sensible saloon Passat winning the Car of the Year in 2015. There are many great things that we can discover with European cars!
